The "Call" to Africa Realized
Joe and Marian first visited Iris Ministries in Maputo, Mozambique in May of 2005 and returned home expecting God to send them in just a few months. Those few months turned into two years plus. As they dealt with many obstacles, distractions; ie: AV gas unavailability, questions on how to fly in Africa, and confusion about a base location for the ministry, they simply continued to believe in the "call" and wait on the Lord. Then, at last, the Holy Spirit directed them to return to Africa in November 2006 for three weeks on a fact finding trip. They returned to San Diego with a fresh vision for aviation support in the spreading of the "Good news of Jesus Christ" and serving the "poorest of the poor" in Mozambique and surrounding countries as the Spirit leads. In January 2007 God spoke to Joe with these words, "I am going to great things for you in 2007." And, He did. In July 2007 God confirmed that it was time to leave and on the 7th of October 2007 Joe and Marian left San Diego for Africa.

Flying For Jesus - The Ministry
Flying for Jesus is a ministry that uses the wings of an airplane to take the good news of Jesus Christ and His kingdom to the "poorest of the poor." We initiated this website in June of 2005 and will bring you monthly updates on the activities of this organization which has been serving the Lord for over fifteen years.
